Due to closing of the practice, no new clients will be received.

I believe it is essential to first develop a trusting relationship with the client in order to be able to move forward in therapy. Together with the client we then look at underlying causes of problems. At times it might be necessary to focus on these underlying causes; to process issues from the past for example. But at other times, it may be possible to learn how to deal with the problems without going into too much depth or detail

In sessions with clients, I often integrate different forms of therapy. Clients might sometimes benefit from a practical tool, like learning how to challenge dysfunctional thoughts. Additionally we may spend extensive time exploring emotions. Becoming familiar with your feelings can help you with your further development.

You will find me supportively standing beside the client along his or her therapeutic way.

Due to a long stay abroad I speak English fluently.

Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) is a form of therapy I use to help the client get in touch with and make productive use of their emotions. Clients learn how to experience those emotions in the safety of the sessions. EFT is a perfect addition to cognitive therapy as it focuses on the constructive aspects of specific emotions.
